Beginner Classes
Beginner classes teach all the necessary skills needed to create your own copper foil stained glass panel. Cutting with precision, foiling with flair, solder secrets, and perfecting patina are all skills that are taught in this class. The foundation of success in stained glass is in perfecting the basics. That is what this class is all about. Students will complete a panel from a large selection of beginner patterns, approximately 10 x 18 in size, depending on the pattern chosen. All instruction and use of studio tools are included in the class fee. Materials are in addition to the class fee, and are available for purchase at the studio. |
Intermediate Classes
Copper Foil / Lead Came Method Prerequisite: Stained Glass Beginner’s Class. Projects are based on students choice of pattern. Teaching will provide students with the information and instruction necessary to assist them in their project of choice. Topics may include: designing your own patterns, adapting existing patterns into your own designs, glass cutting techniques, assembly tips, and specialty soldering techniques. The class atmosphere will be informal and instruction will be specific to the individual projects.
